Ursa Min Pro G1 v G2

After an initial quick test I have taken my time and reset and calibrated both cameras and made sure that they have the latest firmware.

Exposure was set by using false colour to get the mid grey of a Kodak Grey Scale Plus to show green. This was 1/2 stop less than my Minolta IV meter indicated.

The video was produced in Resolve in ACEScct and is in Rec709 colour space. Everything was on preset, the only adjustments that I made were Temperature and Tint on the "correct" exposures which I then applied to all shots from the relevant camera. I then matched the "correct" exposures to 122 in 8 bit and then matched all other shots to this without any further colour changes.

To get to 122 the G1 required an offset of +2 and the G2 required an offset of +1.4

This contradicts my earlier tests and shows how important total resets are!

The saturation of red, yellow and green is much improved in the G2.

The BRAW files are available here. They are of course large files!
